Hi i am 38 weeks pregnant! Yesterday night -i noticed that i was completely wet downthere. I thought it could be amniotic fluid......but when i changed my undergarment, there was no more sign of water break. Then i again got up in the morning and noticed the same thing but this time the discharge was very less.
The discharge is completely white and odourless.....Could this be white discharge or amniotic fluid. I have taken an appointment with doctor in next few hours....But just curious to know from experienced ladies.
Does amniotic fluid leaks in intervals. Or it just leaks at a time and then you go into labour?
I have no other signs of contractions or labour pain rather i am feeling more energetic since last night? Please help me , i need experienced answers! Thanks in advance!

Amniotic fluid is like water...you would mistake it for urine before you would mistake it for discharge.
Amniotic fluid can leak all at once or in intervals. Depends on the person.
It probably is just regular discharge and the extra energy is because you are getting close to delivery and your body is %26quot;nesting%26quot; preparing for the baby to come.

like the first answer said amniotic fluid is very much like water clear with no thickness to it. also has a sweet smell. some regular discharge is watery too but dont worry its okay amniotic fluid when it starts to leak will keep leaking and increase in leakage it wont just leak a little here and there spontaneously. It can leak in intervals but it would increase in amount and would happen frequently.
white odorless discharge sounds like normal pregnancy discharge I have this at least 3 times a week and I'm 30 weeks.
