Why when engine is cold (mornings) the engine is stalling if i put it in drive and keep the leg on break peda?

Hi everyone, I have a taurus 1998 with a ``small`` problem which i can`t fix it. The cold engine is working perfect, is starting perfect and turn great. But, when i have to stop at the light, the engine stall if the water gauge doesn`t show the optimal temperature of the engine. When accelerate a noice (jingle) is coming from the engine compartment and the car is like no power. the fuel consumption is high since the problem appears. When the engine is hot, the problem with the stalling disappears, but the RPM is not satying at 900 but oscillates up and down and the car is trying to move forward, even the brake is pushed. I changed the air idle controle valve, the oil and the filter in transmission. The spark wires are old, the steering fluid is not changed. Please tell me what to do, what can fix this situation. Thank you

Check the vacuum booster on the power brakes. If the diaphragm in the booster splits, it will let air into the engine, causing it to run lean.
