My van is making a grinding noise. Whats wrong with my van?

I have a 1998 Plymouth Voyager SE. I just put a transmission motor mount and change the transmission fluid. When driving it hesitate to accelerate. When in idle, driving and put into gear it makes a grinding noise. It has a whistling sound when taking off and breaking speed. A ticking noise when driving.

Not good. Two things to check out first, since you just changed the fluid. 1. That Chrysler transmission is very picky about the fluid type. You cannot mix types. It absolutely must have type +4 and only type +4. When you change the fluid you never get all of the old out, If you did not use the correct fluid, do not drive it. It needs to be completely drained and flushed (including torque converter). #2. You need to make sure the the level is correct after the transmission has had time to completely warm up. Check it several times, it is easy to get an incorrect reading right after changing the fluid. Fluid level is also vitally important on a Chrysler. The bad news is though, with the noise you have described, it is very possible that major damage is already done.
